WHAT: Fun Fun Fun Fest

WHEN: November 7-8

WHERE: Waterloo Park, Austin, TX

WHAT YOU'RE IN FOR: As if you needed another reason to love Austin, the Fun Fun Fun Fest is back again for its fourth year. Four stages with some of the most intense performers making music today means you'll be surrounded by great tunes. Oh, and a skate ramp and mechanical bull. Don't forget those.

EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT...: Ratatat, Kid Sister, Jesus Lizard, Crystal Castles, Of Montreal, Danzig
...BUT DON'T FORGET: HEALTH, Yeasayer, GZA, Mika Miko, Shonen Knife, Why?, Buraka Som Sistema

HOW MUCH?: $75 for a two-day pass, $150 for PIP (Pretty Important Person) treatment, which includes a special "golden ticket," free pub grub, access to special viewing terraces and special (read: cleaner) bathrooms, as well as free beer. One-day passes are available for $45 each. Buy tickets.

SPECIAL FEATURES: Crazy good pre-festival shows and afterparties at some of the local Austin hot spots. DJs include Mixhell (Igor from Sepultura), the boys from Yeasayer, John Reese (Rocket from the Crypt), and tons of great bands. Check the full schedule here. Did I mention the live screen printing t-shirt booth?

THE FINAL WORD: Lots of promise for this very young festival. Not too many non-musical add-on's, and a great selection of groups, from indie and noise rock to hip-hop and world fusion. Plus the admission price is a steal, working out to $1 per band for the two-day pass.

Check out music and videos from artists performing at Fun Fun Fun Fest at their Myspace.
