Kodak Picture Maker DVD

Tell me the ways you stay connected to your deployed husband or wife.  How do you show him or her how fast the children are growing? What are your methods for helping the loved one far away feel as though he or she is close to those left behind?

We do:

  • Care packages full of homemade goods, because even if they're stale, they're still from home.
  • Letters
  • Emails
  • Phone calls (when possible)
  • Samples of schoolwork, artwork, scribbled letters in childish languages that make no sense but are worth more than all the world.
  • Scrapbooks

In situations such as ours, there is no way to estimate the value of staying connected.  There simply aren't too many ways to say 'I love you, come home safe,  we'll be here waiting.'

Because you can't say it too often, I love it when I get to report a new method of delivery for our all-important messages.

The Kodak Picture Movie DVD is and easy, inexpensive way to share your heart and keep connected to your deployed family member.  For just $14.99, you can use the in-store kiosk (exclusively at CVS/pharmacy photo centers) to make your own movie memory book.  Using your digital photos in any digital media format, the kiosk touch-screen can customize your movie in just a matter of minutes.  The advanced technology of the Kodak Picture Movie DVD uses zoom and pan effects, as well as popular music, to bring your photos to life.

One soldier, writing from Afghanistan, writes:

"I was very moved and touched by what I was seeing.  It put a spark of life back in me I thought I had lost.  I have been deployed now for several months and it has been hard being away from my children and loved ones.  The other day I received a package in the mail with one of your Kodak DVD Movies of my daughter"
