While I am personally no fan of the modeling industry itself, I have nothing against models. Many of them are amazing individuals with a lot to offer. While I think the industry contributes to the low self-esteem of young women who know they can never match up to their fashion idols, that is no fault of the models themselves. Some of them, in fact, work with programs aimed at boosting the sagging egos of the women they seek to represent. A lot of models go on to become successful businesswomen like Lauren Hutton and Iman. Others become television moguls like Tyra Banks and Padma Lakshmi. Some act. Some sing. Some dance their way into the hearts of teleivion viewers via "Dancing with the Stars." Along the way, many of these women also become great humanitarians. So how does one narrow the field down this amazing field of possibilities to just 12 as the hottest models for 2008? That proved to be more difficult than I imagined. Still, after conducting a few interviews, I was able to settle on the following choices. These women possess the whole package - - a killer body, better than average good looks, a bit of mischievous charm, and more talent than they are likely to be given credit for.
