The sun is shining full force, and I don't see a cloud in the sky. Yet.
(The beauty of Examiner.com is that Examiners can update copy online. When I posted this morning, the skies were clear. An hour later, clouds have rolled in again, and skies are almost completely overcast once more.)
The morning dove cooed over my secret garden as I removed the plastic tarp protecting two non-hardy hibiscus and three citrus trees from last night's damp chill.
All's well in my little shoebox-sized courtyard.
Except for the gutters. The elevation of my garage allows me to reach up and feel how full the gutters are. I don't know about yours, but my gutter has a fair amount of debris from the storms that swept through Denver in the last weeks. This particular gutter is situated just below the venerable old crab apple tree, which drops leaves and sticks due to its condition compromised by fire blight.
If you haven't already had your gutters cleaned, this might be a perfect time to do so or to hire somebody. An ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure.
