Chef Geoff’s self-proclaimed “best happy hour in DC” does not fall far from that declaration. Though I can’t say best, since I have yet to make it to every happy hour in DC, I can say it’s pretty great. From 3pm-7pm all seven days of the week, Chef Geoff’s offers $7.95 super mugs (33.8 oz.) of on tap beer, $2.95 long necks, $5.95 Estrella wines, and $3.50 PBRs. The on tap beer changes with the season, but currently has 12 options including Magic Hat #9, Sam Adams Octoberfest, Yuengling Lager, and Leinenkugel Classic Amber. In addition to drink specials, Chef Geoff’s offers their CG and Downtown burgers for $5.95 and any pizza pie for $8.95 - believe me these offers are incredible for what you get. The CG Burger is cheddar, bacon, and chipotle mayo, while the Downtown Burger is jack cheese, tempura onion, and homemade steak sauce. There are six different pizza options including spicy chicken, meatball, and “Straight-Up Pizza;” the best part is almost all of the pizza choices host their homemade, made daily mozzarella. I encourage everyone to check out the happy hours especially on Mondays and Tuesdays because both of those days the happy hour offers go all night. Monday is by far the best because all bottles of wine are half price, perfect for winos like me! Enjoy these specials at any one of the three Chef Geoff locations – downtown, Tysons, or Tenleytown.
