Would you like to achieve a certain level of health naturally? Would you like to feel better all the time? And what images come to mind when we explore the term, "natural beauty"? Could a sunset or newborn baby fit the bill?
You may already have definitions to these questions that seem right to you. If not, consider this: Natural health and beauty is unique to each individual. It probably has changed over time, and might often change day to day, depending upon how an individual feels and views himself or herself in the world. Perhaps these judgements are based upon how we've been raised, or who we've compared ourselves to.
Just as the worn phrase suggests, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", health may only be defined by the person experiencing his or her own physical experience.
Try answering the following questions for yourself while assessing your health and beauty:
Are you healthy? Do you have energy and vitality? Do you suffer from fatigue? Do you have any chronic dis-eases?
Are you beautiful? Are you pretty (or handsome)? What thoughts come to mind?
Health and beauty are as unique to each of us, as our experience of the world is. Our bodies are individual, unique, special, and so very important! Our bodies ultimately allow us, the person inside our bodies, to have, do, and be whatever we dream. Consider how much your body allows you to do in your life - then ask again, is your body beautiful?
Before we leave these questions, also consider the health of your mind. How often do you worry or stress over things that might be out of your control?
Let's discuss how we can hang onto our health and beauty if we feel we have it, or reclaim it if we feel we have lost it or improve it if it's just not as good as we'd like it to be. We can begin a dialogue to explore what the trends are, what treatments have worked, or not worked for us, and how we can open our minds to understand that each of us, in our own way, take care of our health, and present a beautiful body, mind, and soul - to the world.
