For a good time just look for the green sign.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Long Beach sits an Irish Pub that a Patty can be proud of, if not genuinely than at least in terms of Americanized Irishness. Clancy’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, located on the corner of Broadway and Alamitos, is a brick walled friendly affair scrounging together all of the slàinte possible this far from the homeland. With a decent Guinness tap, full bar and friendly faced bartenders, the road/office weary wanderer is welcomed to sit and rest themselves after a long day pursuing whatever pursuits it is that they pursue.

When compared to the slew of Irish Pubs dotting the Southern Californian coastline, Clancy’s by far surpasses locations such as The Auld Dubliner (too many business men) and O'Malley's (great food, great service, overly crowded summertime locale) in terms of bar staff friendliness, location, variation of crowd and general good feeling about the place.

Nominated three times for Best Venue/Best KJ/ Best Music Library for LA County, Clancy’s offers Karaoke three nights a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9 p.m. as well as live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Tuesday night also grants those growling bellies food service until 10 p.m., so saunter on down and feast on a $13 New York Steak and $11 pork chops. The breakfast menu serves up a traditional American pub breakfast with plates of sausage, eggs, hash browns and toast, pancakes, chorizo and eggs and the all important Breakfast Burrito.

Clancy’s location also lends itself to a night of barhopping and restaurant surfing without having to set foot back into your car. With House of Hayden, Americana, Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, Hamburger Mary’s and all of Pine Ave just minutes away, it is the prime location to begin or end any evening. Although, once you arrive you might just want to sit tight and let the night revolve around the good craic shared between friends in a decent Irish Pub.
