Ooooohhh...real scary pumpkin man.

So you've found yourself with the World's Best Costume(tm) and you haven't bothered to find a party to attend tomorrow night? Look no further, for I have compiled a delightful list of OC/LA bars and clubs opening their spooky-ooky doors to your spirit-gummed Ledger inspired Joker grin.

LOS ANGELES

Alex’s Bar
Long Beach proper rockabilly/hipster/scene kid hideaway Alex’s is hosting bands covering Mötörhead to Rocky Horror all night long. NO COVER, costumes are encouraged. Decent taps, $5 beers, smoking patio, graffiti’d bathrooms and friendly staff.

2913 E. Anaheim St.
Long Beach, CA 90804

The Cat ‘n’ Fiddle
Right on Sunset Blvd, this Irish pub serves up the right amount of slainte! Live music supplied by Tall Hands and The Barbarellatones all night long. Tarot readings, $4.50 Black ‘n’ Tans and MORE! Costumes highly encouraged. Parking is iffy, so be prepared to dole out some cash moneys.

6530 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90028

The Abbey
WeHo martini sweetspot, The Abbey is serving up their famous vodka laced dreamscapes to the phat beatz of DJ Marco and DJ Derek Monteire. Strap on that corset and glitter your hair before cozying up in one of their sheik-inspired booths sipping on that Jolly Rancher martini. It’s going to be a good and long night my friend.

692 N. Robertson Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069

The Scene
Glendale’s answer to the entirety of Silverlake, The Scene boasts daily drink specials so you’re in luck even on a Sunday. Halloween being no excuse, The Scene has arranged for Motley Too, the premier Motley Crue cover band, to serenade you all night long. $10 cover, $7 with costume.

806 E. Colorado St.
Glendale, CA

ORANGE COUNTY

The Continental Room
Fullerton’s own hip dive, The Continental Room is located in the SoCo Arts District on Santa Fe Ave. Halloween is 21 and over, sorry kiddywinks. Good news is: NO COVER, live DJs, costumes are highly encouraged. And no, dressing as “That Guy Who Forgot It Was Halloween” does not count.

115 Santa Fe Avenue
Fullerton, CA

DETROIT Bar
What’s better than seeing a hipster pouting on the street corner as it tries in vain to roll that last bit of American Spirits? Seeing the same hipster doing it dressed ironically as “Bumble Bee Girl” or “Douche Bag With a Trucker ‘Stache”. DETROIT is offering up face painting, a photobooth and the tell-all costume contest. The prize? A small shred of your own dignity preserved as you try to facetiously accept your winnings.
Doors at 9pm, $10 cover.
RSVP early by e-mailing Tammy @love-made.com for free entry with a costume.

843 W. 19th Street
Costa Mesa, CA

La Cave
Once you get used to the smell of deliciously simmering steaks, La Cave is a dark, dank, loud little place. Also known as: The perfect place for a be-costumed Halloween Dance Party. Head bang to the rippin’ shreds of Cover Me Badd, the resident cover band, drink that $5 Stella or $8 Vodka Tonic and don’t forget to smile at the waiter with the sparrow tattoos on his neck.

1695 Irvine Avenue
Costa Mesa, CA

Proof
Nestled within the not-at-all-well-known Santa Ana Arts District, Proof is a swanky joint known for its DJ sets and stiff drinks. Stagger over for their Halloween Special Costume Contest boasting a $100 prize, and live music supplied by the ever ready MUTE. Parking in Santa Ana can be a little sketchy, so plan ahead.

215 N. Broadway
Santa Ana, CA 92701

The Harp Inn
Personally, I will be celebrating All Hallow’s Eve at this most formidable of Irish Pubs in cheeky ol’ Costa Mesa. Smithwick’s and Guinness on Tap, pub food to be envied by the Temple Bar, the requisite Costume Contest, and live 80’s music supplied by the awesomely rad NeonNation. What’s not to like? Pop on over, look for the Trojan Warrior and impress me with your wit and knowledge of my incredible journalistic skills. Happy Halloween!

130 E. 17th Street
Costa Mesa, CA 92627
