You can save a child from falling victim to sex traffickers
Wednesday is 09-09-09...Throughout time, God has placed significant meanings upon specific numbers that coincide with dates, times and events, some we've yet to see fulfilled.
So what does 09-09-09 mean to us as Christians? It's a date we can help to free the slaves...children, some as young as 4 years old, young men, women and families that are sold into captivity by sex traders around the world and right here in Florida.
Born to Fly is hosting a one day fundraiser on 9-9-09, praying for 9000 people to donate $9 each. This is how one person can make a huge difference in the slave trade. Let Diana Scimone, founder of Born to Fly explain in her own words...
Why Diana's so passionate about this project
"Each year more than a million kids are lured into modern-day slavery where they're raped for profit 30 or 40 times a night--night after night. Some of them are just 4 years old. Many are right in the U.S.
Imagine what a dent we can make in the trafficking pipeline if we educate kids and their parents about the tactics traffickers use before they show up at their doorstep.
That's exactly what The Born2Fly Project is all about: educating kids and their parents about the dangers of trafficking, with the ultimate goal of ending it.
A wordless book
The centerpiece of B2F is a wordless book that teaches kids to make wise choices--wordless so we don't have to translate it into hundreds of languages. A companion curriculum will reinforce the important concepts in the book.
We already have a waiting list of schools and organizations all over the world who've asked for these strategic materials--Ghana, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Bulgaria, the Philippines, and elsewhere.
The book and curriculum are nearly complete and ready to be printed. We're raising the funds to do that--$9 at a time.
9,000 people each giving $9 on 09-09-09
This Wednesday--September 9--we're having a 1-day fundraiser. Our goal is 9,000 people each giving $9 on 09-09-09 to help stop child trafficking.
Would you be part of it?
I've stood helplessly at border crossings to places like Cambodia, Myanmar, and elsewhere--knowing that children were trafficked across the border along with cattle, chickens, and rice.
