11 It was He(Christ) who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11

Pastors are the shepherds of God’s flock called to the mighty task of preaching, teaching, keeping the wolves at bay and standing up for the Word of God. Definitely not a calling for the feint of heart…but with God’s help, they show up and say "Here I am Lord, use me!"

October has recently been dubbed Pastor Appreciation Month. Even though we are called to honor each other every day, this is a great opportunity to remind your pastor of how much his service has meant to you and your family.

A card of thanks, a word of encouragement, a token of appreciation or a mention on Central Florida’s Z88.3’s Midday Show with Melony McKaye are just a few ideas on how to thank your pastor for the many ways he serves you and your congregation.

.  Or send me a note so we can feature your pastor!

Pastor Lenny Faulk at Rise Community Church, Lake Mary, FL

Here's my pastor, Lenny Faulk preaching the Gospel at Rise Community Church, planted just this January.  Lenny does an amazing job of feeding the flock with God's word, reaching out to community and making the name of Jesus great in the city!  Worship is Sunday mornings at 10:15 in the Lake Mary Elementary School all purpose room.  Of course no man is an island and Pastor Lenny has a great helpmate in his beautiful wife April, their 5 children and the growing church family.  Rise also holds a Tuesday evening prayer vigil (7 PM) alongside the Lake Mary City Hall Gazebo.
