Planned Parenthood and the National Organization for Women (NOW) are angry over last Saturday night’s passage of the Stupak amendment that would prevent abortion funding from being part of Obama’s health care plan.

“They promise to press Democrats in the House and Senate to remove Stupak and say they will oppose the bill if not,” according to LifeNews.com.

Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood “complained that despite the aggressive efforts her group took to defeat it, the Stupak amendment passed by a large bipartisan majority and "the bill that passed late Saturday night includes a ban on private abortion coverage."

Richards said in the email LifeNews.com obtained that "her group would put enormous pressure on pro-abortion President Barack Obama to ensure that the health care bill in the Senate keeps abortion funding currently in it."

She also said they are “calling on President Obama to ensure that lawmakers, especially those in his own party, support health care reform that protects women's access to reproductive care as the next round of debate and voting occurs in the Senate.”

So, where does the president stand on this issue? And, will Pro-Abortion groups succeed in removing the Stupak amendment (similar to the Hyde amendment) from the final health care bill?

Obama gave several speeches in which he promises to provide “reproductive care” that he says is “essential care…basic care,” and it is “at the center and heart” of the plan he’s proposed.

Believe it -- this is one promise he intends to keep. Listen now to some of what he said in the video below.

Please don’t be fooled into thinking the Stupak amendment will stick in the Senate’s version of the healthcare bill. Just as Obama pressed Pelosi and the House to pass a bill, he will do the same to Reid and the Democrats who foolishly voted in favor of this so called “reform” last weekend. They did so because the Stupak amendment was thrown in as a “good faith” tactic by Pelosi, but only to get her bill passed.

“The best offensive against lies is the truth. And…so, all we can do is just keep on pushing the truth.” (Barack Obama, Town Hall Meeting, 8/20/09).

To all of you who oppose abortion, keep pushing the real truth: Abortion is murder. It is NOT healthcare. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the Democrats are lying to Americans on the issue of funding for abortion, but also that it will not be part of the final bill.

Call or write your Senators and tell them that true Americans and Christians will refuse to support the murder of innocent babies! Shout it from the rooftops. Keep up the “Abortion is not healthcare” campaigns. Don’t allow Planned Parenthood and NOW and misguided politicians to have the last word on life.
