‘One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts,’ Psalm 145:4.

As believers in Christ, we have a great responsibility to communicate with the next generation of believers. Our time (lives) should be a living journal of what is possible when we rest in the Lord. Radical Discipleship is needed to believe in and share truth and believe in the vision, which inspires, allows us to see the unseen, accomplish things we never dreamed were possible, and challenges us to look past the obvious and look to God. Communicating to future generations requires great faith, strength and wisdom, all gracious gifts the Father instills in us as we continually seek Him.

Those of us who walk with God must boast of Him! It is up to us to commend His works to those who follow behind us. We can teach others to value their time and not resent it, and show them that the only way to live is through Jesus Christ. As children of God, we should use our time to shout His fame, tell others of the awesome things He has done in our lives and in the lives of others. Passing on everything we know will teach the next generation of worshipers about God’s faithfulness to us. By being living examples, we will teach others to love God, love others like Jesus and how to make excellent use of their time on earth by being excellent worshipers, excellent stewards of time and excellent examples for the generation of believers that will follow them.

May we all live keeping in mind this passage from Psalm 102:18, ‘Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.’

How will you be a living example for the believers who are running behind you?
