I look so forward to the Advent season. At my home church in North Carolina, we sing contemporary Christian Christmas songs  in our contemporary worship service, which I love. In the traditional service, we get to hear our favorite Advent hymns for a few weeks, including a service of lessons and carols at both services! These joyous and hope-filled Sundays all lead up to Christmas Eve, where my favorite hymns are always sung. If you're looking for some new Advent worship music, aside from traditional hymns, here are a few beautiful suggestions:

"Mary Did You Know?" by Mark Lowry

"Breath of Heaven" by Amy Grant

"Here With Us" by Joy Williams

"Lamb of God" by Nicole C. Mullen

"Hallelujah" by Darlene Zschech

"Glory In the Highest" by Christ Tomlin

"God Is With Us" by Amy Grant (Also newly recorded by Casting Crowns)

"Emmanuel" by Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant

"A Strange Way to Save the World" by 4Him

"And His Name" by Tommy Walker

"Emmanuel" by Hillsong

"Hark!" by Israel Houghton

"Holy You Are" by Lakewood Church

"Jesus Messiah" by Chris Tomlin

"Our God Is With Us" by Steven Curtis Chapman

"Rejoice" by Hillsong

"Rejoice" by Chris Tomlin

"Song For the King" by Michael W. Smith

"You Are Holy (Prince of Peace)" by Michael W. Smith

"Salvation Is Here" by Hillsong United

There are so many songs to choose from- new and old that are beautiful and so perfect for worship at church or at home. To find the complete sheet music, lead sheets and chord charts for this music, go to www.praisecharts.com. Here, you'll also find new-ish arrangements of your favorite traditional Christmas carols that have been recorded and re-worked by some of your favorite Christian artists. You might also try another favorite music site among worship leaders and directors: www.worshiptogether.com. They have a ton of downloadable sheet music, just like Praise Charts. They also have essential tools for worship leading, and give away a free song download every day! Today's free sheet music download is "Born In Bethlehem," brand new from Third Day!

Join me tomorrow! I'll be sharing my holiday playlist with you. Blessings and JOY!
