Celebrate the Fourth of July: St. Petersburg and Clearwater
Good fireworks can become spectacular when seen reflected over water. If you’d like to see some of the best fireworks displays in Florida, look no further than St. Petersburg.
- The Pier Live music, face painting, character appearances, and bounce houses all lead up to the 9 PM fireworks display. Both Straub Park and The Pier will be abuzz from 1 PM to 11 PM Saturday.
- Gulfport Downtown Gulfport will be celebrating all day long with live music, sandcastle building, food and drink. Gulfport’s events are free and dog friendly! Find the fun on Beach Boulevard from 8 AM to 10 PM.
- Treasure Island Bilmar Beach Blast is two days of fun on Treasure Island Beach, with music, children’s games, kite flying demonstrations and plenty of food and drink. Festivities take place July 3 from 5 PM to 9 PM and July 4 from 12 to 9 with fireworks at 9 PM. Bring your favorite tailgate supplies because you can drive onto the beach!
- Rock n Wings Downtown St. Pete’s Albert Whitted Airport will host a music festival featuring a concert by American Idol finalist Amanda Overmyer. Other performers include Drew Street Mary, Liz Hollister, and the Greg Billings Band. Gates open at 3 PM, the tunes start at 4 PM, and the fireworks are scheduled for 9 PM.
- Safety Harbor Carnival games, a live DJ, and bounce houses will help everyone get into a festive mood at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. The fireworks will start at 9 PM at nearby Marina Park.
- Clearwater The Mostly Pops orchestra will be the headliner for a Fourth of July festival that also includes a craft show, children’s activities, and fireworks. Events begin at 4 PM in Coachman Park with a concert at 7:30 and fireworks at 9:30 PM.
- Largo You can find festival foods and a DJ before the 9 PM fireworks at Largo Central Park. The celebration lasts from 7 to 10 PM.
