In Gary, Indiana, the notion of a museum being built dedicated to the Jackson family, who once resided in a small slab house at 2300 Jackson Street is moving a little closer to reality as Gary Mayor Rudy Clay accepted a $10,000 check to kick off fundraising efforts.
The donation was given at a recent Las Vegas press conference attended by Clay and Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson made by Johnny Brenden, a theater-chain owner.
Clay is offering 10-acres of city property for the project. To view WGN-TV video on the press conference, click here.
