The Internet is filled with an endless amount of information surrounding running – in blog posts, online articles, tweets, and much more. Throughout the next weeks, I’ll highlight some of the best sites I’ve found while training. Enjoy!
Daily Mile
Not only is the site pretty, but it’s one of the most user-friendly sites around. It’s perfect for logging your training miles, tracking your cross-training workouts and networking with other runners in the area.
After you create a profile (it’s free!), you can add running buddies and join Des Moines area groups. Here are a few of the features:
Workouts – Post your daily workout on your profile. There are categories for everything – running, biking, cross-training and more.
Motivators – You can exchange motivational messages with other runners to keep them going strong.
Events – Search and find races that you plan on running. When you add them, they’ll be displayed on your profile for users to see.
Photos and Video – Upload race photos or videos of yourself to share with others.
Forums – Ask questions and post comments on running-related topics.
Visit Daily Mile to create a username and password, and you’re good to go!
