When planning an event, it's really only essential to make sure there is good food.  Food makes people happy; it brings strangers together and makes them friends.  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland certainly applied the Golden Rule of Food when planning the Ravens' tailgate; the food options were endless.  Perhaps the pictures should do the talking ...

Delicious organic salad by Seven Seas Energy

Sweet sausage lasagna by Baltimore celeb Ed Norris

Buffalo chicken dip by Ryan Goff, Steve Kruskamp, and Tom Rowe

(Sorry guys - it didn't photograph well.)

Lemon truffle and whoopie pie by Molly Shattuck

Union Memorial also made amazing crab cakes.  They were pretty bready, which most people hate, but I love because I'm not supposed to eat crab cakes, but more bread equals less mayo/grease.  City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake supplied cookies made by her assistant's mom.  Greater Baltimore Tech Council provided a moist, sweet peach cobbler, and Baltimore favorite Sammy's Trattoria served up a Greek style penne pasta with excellent bite.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland certainly knows how to eat and entertain.  I'm already looking forward to next year's event, and will remember to skip lunch this time.  Oof.
