Austin-based rockers Oak is Keeping made it to the final round of the MLB 2K10 contest on Spin.com. The winning band gets its song on the upcoming MLB 2010 video game and they need your help to beat out the rest of the entrants and represent Austin indie music. (Go here to register on Spin.com and then here to vote.)

Oak is Keeping just released their debut album "Animal Style" in 2009 and has not been on the scene for long. They routinely play Red Eyed Fly and Headhunters, which is a cycle of doom for many bands. That hasn't been the case for the Queens of the Stone Age meets Spoon foursome. They were featured on Local Licks, appeared with Jason and Deb on The Morning X, and featured in INsite Magazine. All this in addition to making it to the finals of the MLB contest, beating out 300+ bands nationally.
