If you didn't get the chance to see the musical sensation, Bobby Felder, at last year's Christmas Eve Jazz Vespers, then you definitely don't want to miss the opportunity to see him live.
This Saturday, Bobby Felder & His Blue Notes will perform at the Easter Jazz Vigil at Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ. Felder has the dual honor of being a local legend and an internationally renowned musician who has entertained crowds around the world for over fifty years. He has played at a variety of venues, ranging from small clubs to Presidential Inaugural Balls.
Felder will be accompanied by gifted musicians who don't just command the stage, they light it up, and leave it blazing in flames. Some of the performers who will bless the stage Saturday night include: acclaimed musician and educator, Davey Yarborough; legendary saxophonist, Jacques Johnson; and accomplished trumpeter, Michael Thomas. This is only a partial list of the evening's talent, and you will have to attend the show to find out who else is going to perform. What you can definitely expect, is a stage of talented and acclaimed musicians who will put their own twist and spin on classic jazz material. With such a high caliber of musicians, the audience is certain to enjoy an evening of great music that will have everyone rocking from side to side and leaving in good spirits.
The show is this Saturday, April 11 and begins at 6 p.m. The show is free and open to the public. These days, it's rare to get such quality musicianship in one room.
