Yesterday the University announced that the end zones in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback stadium were installed for the University of Arkansas' new turf project. The familiar words ARKANSAS and RAZORBACKS gleamed in the new end zones in the photos the University posted on their web site.

The new field is scheduled to be completed by August 1, and the Razorbacks will test out the new field for the first time in a live game when the Hogs host the Georgia Bulldogs on September 19 in Fayetteville.

Razorback fans are eager to see the new field, but most of all fans hope the surface benefits Bobby Petrino’s Razorback offense. Proponents of the new turf like the idea of Petrino’s offense being played out on turf rather than grass.

The new turf isn’t the only thing Hog fans will be looking forward to on September 19 in Fayetteville. Hopefully a victory in the SEC opener outshines any new turf on that particular game day.
