Consider a Caribbean Wedding in a lighthouse
Since I live in St Lucia, occasionally I’m given inside scoop on what’s new and exciting on the horizon for this beautiful little island. This weekend I received a tip that St Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa has something very clever in mind for couples planning to marry on the island. The resort is taking part in the restoration and beautification of the island’s lighthouse on top of historic Cape Moule A Chique, and turning it into a one-of-kind venue for weddings. What surprised me was to find out that this is the second highest lighthouse in the word. It sits on top of a mountain which overlooks the city of Vieux Fort, as well as the exquisite Maria Islands and the stunning Caribbean Sea. In fact, I can see the lighthouse standing majestically on the horizon from where I write. This will be a fantastic place to marry! This is and has always been one of the places I take visitors for a spectacular view of the sea and southern part of the island.
To commemorate the first lighthouse wedding next summer, Coconut Bay has partnered with Jasmine Bridal to offer a complete wedding and honeymoon giveaway for one lucky couple and their guests.
