Tropical storm Erika passed gently over my area of southern St Lucia. Thunder and dark clouds announced her arrival at approximately 4:00 p.m. today, September 2. Wind speed was around 18mph and very little rain fell. She moved towards the island of Guadelupe in a north westernly direction at around 10 mph.

Erika is expected to continue towards Puerto Rico and St Thomas Thursday morning but this tropical storm doesn't appear to have the momentum to develop into anything serious.
