St Martin: Expose yourself to this very sexy island

Thinking about St Martin just makes me kind of 'tingly' all over. There's something so darn sexy about it. Sure there's the absolutely perfect sugary beaches, sensual sun, pulsating music, soothing breezes and liberated care free people, but there's more. Other islands have all that. No, there's just something entirely erotic about St Maarten/St Martin.
Perhaps the duality of the tiny island is a factor. On a mere 38 square miles the French and Dutch have cohabited for over 600 years, sleeping like two little spoons nestled together. I know people in Texas with backyards bigger than that. There's never been a battle, not once. In fact you wouldn't even know you crossed from one country into another if it weren't for the "Welcome to France" sign (only of course it is written much more eloquently in French) as you cruise down the winding little road. No fences, no border patrol, no customs or immigrations. Maybe it’s that kind of togetherness that just seems to promote a "love is in the air" or maybe more accurately, "lust is in the air" attitude.
And where else to let those suppressed desires of being a pirate/wench run free but the Caribbean? It’s historical, it's ...expected. We learned all about that at Disneyland; remember that Pirate ride that had pirates brandishing pistols and swords and wenches hanging out the windows? St Martin is just wicked enough that you can easily get into trouble; and a little good-hearted trouble is fun as long as it doesn't involve any jail time. I was banned only briefly, I’m happy to report all is well now.
The nude beaches on the French side are quite a draw. You know the French; they encourage this kind of behavior. They are the experts on femininity, sexuality and nudity, aren’t they? Club Orient on Orient Beach (French side) is a leading destination for nudists. Although the Dutch do not actively market nude beaches, if you really need to feel the sea melt around your naked parts, you can go to nearby Cupecoy Beach. In addition to Orient on the French side there are Baie Rouge (my favorite) and Happy Bay. And who doesn’t feel sexy when they have that all-over tan going on?
At night, St Martin comes alive with great bands blasting out tunes all over the island. You won’t have to go far to get your groove on to some excellent music. Whether your taste is jazz, blues, rock n roll, reggae, piano bar or country and western you can strut your tanned stuff to some very entertaining bands. Check out Pineapple Pete’s and the Sunset Bar. Oh, by the way, take off your tops girls at the Sunset Bar and drinks are free. (I’m just reporting the facts!)
So if you are ready to reclaim your inner evocative groove, get your underexposed bod to St Martin immediately.
