Gunpowder residue was found on the hand of Sahel Kazemi, and police have confirmed that Steve McNair's death was part of a murder-suicide.

Police don't know that they will ever understand why Kazemi did it, but say that financial problems may have played a role. They also believe that Kazemi thought the former quarterback was seeing another woman. A friend told police that Kazemi said she hated her life and wanted to end it.

This pretty much ends any speculation that there were other parties involved in the two deaths.

After interviewing key witnesses, it seems that Kazemi's life began to unravel in the week or so leading up to the murder-suicide. However, police say there was no reason to believe she would harm McNair.

Police believe that Kazemi shot McNair while he was sleeping on the sofa. They believe she fired one shot to his head, then two to his chest followed by one more to the head before turning the gun on herself.

They say she positioned herself on the floor in a way as to try and land on top of McNair after killing herself, but her body slid to the floor.

Her mounting debts became an issue, and her roommate was set to move out, which doubled her rent. She was also making payments on the Cadillac Escalade that many assumed McNair had bought her and paid for.

It's a conclusion that at least will bring some closure for all parties involved and all of those that have followed the story so closely, but it certainly still leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
