Karim Nagi canceled!

The Karim Nagi drumming and dancing workshop and show scheduled for Saturday, October 17 has been canceled. Checks will be refunded, CD's returned and the hope is to have Mr. Nagi return sometime in 2010.
Belly dance seminars held in and around Cleveland are, unfortunately, few and far between. Dancers relish the opportunity to learn close to home. I also know that workshops are very expensive to produce and operate on very tight margins. Often registrations fall short and sponsors can be put in the red.
As dancers, we must support our belly dance and dance community by attending workshops and shows, by working together toward elevating our dance form and by creating friendships with other dancers and collaborations with other dance forms.
Though the economy may be dismal, the arts are one bright light to offer an escape.
