We've all seen commercials showing nervous store workers getting ready to open the doors for the "big sale", only to be trampled by excited shoppers as they rush in.

Well, there was nothing humorous about what happened at a Long Island Walmart today. A 34 year old Walmart stocker died after being trampled by a a crowd of 200 people who just couldn't wait to save a few bucks on a televison set. Apparent cause of death was a heart attack. A pregnant woman was also knocked to the ground, but escaped uninjured. Three other people were also hurt.

Please keep in mind that if you aren't able to get exactly what you wanted before Christmas, the same stores and products will be in existence on December 26th, 27th, perhaps even for weeks and months afterward. Besides, is it really worth risking someone's life to be able to see Edward James Almos in high def? Would "Strange Wilderness" have been any better in Blue Ray? There are more important things in life than using that coupon before it expires. Enjoy the holidays, safely and sanely.
