Take your dining to new heights with Dinner in the Sky, the latest Las Vegas culinary attraction to hit the strip.  Only in Vegas is evening dining and adrenaline pumping action combined as guests are hoisted 180 feet above the ground by crane on a secured platform that provides 360 degree views of the city below.

Las Vegas Event Planner presents Dinner in the Sky in partnership with the Brussels-based Belgian company that has been providing mile-high dining, meetings and events for private parties and corporate affililates, with price-tags reaching well upwards of $30,000 a session, in neary 30 countries world-wide.  The Vegas company is the first to offer the experience to the public with reservations offered on a seat-by-seat basis.

The experience is not for the timid or faint of heart.  Diners are strapped into leather seats positioned around the outside of the table, while chefs, servers and even entertainers walk around in a central aisleway.  While some private events work with renowned chefs preparing everything from appetizers to haute cuisine, the Vegas launch is less about the food, and more about a meal with a view.  Once secure, the 22 guests are lifted into the air for a one-hour meal service which includes an entree of filet mignon or prosciutto stuffed chicken breast and a toast of Champagne.  Sunset fights include a seasonal dessert.

Tickets are being sold at an introductory rate of $169 per person for an evening meal and $199 per person for a sunset flight through June 31, 2009.  Guests must be at least 10 years old, be at least 48" tall and weigh less than 300 lbs for safety reasons.  Reservations can be made online or by calling 1-877-4SKYDINE.

For Dinner in the Sky Special Events: Check the updated list of special flight packages being offered.  Reservations are currently being taken to watch the Fouth of July fireworks display as well as for New Years.
