Jeff Zurschmeide is a local car enthusiast with interests in new cars, automotive technology, and life in metro Portland. He spends his time road-testing new cars, hanging out at race tracks, and restoring old sports cars.

Jeff has made his living as a freelance automotive journalist since 2003. His work has appeared in the Portland Tribune and Oregonian newspapers and numerous magazines and websites. He is the author of Automotive Welding: A Practical Guide, Subaru High Performance Builder's Guide, and the upcoming Mini Cooper Performance Handbook, all available on Amazon.com.
