Three varieties of Lean Cuisine chicken meals have been recalled due to foreign bright blue plastic fragments that were found in the packaged meals in Clackamas and Portland, Oregon. The Pesto Chicken with Bow Tie Pasta, Chicken Mediterranean and Chicken Tuscan were the three frozen meals that were immediately pulled from the shelves. All meals were produced and distributed nationwide between August 18th and October 27th.

Approximately 1.2 million packaged meals were recalled impacting the Oregon shoppers that may have purchased the product within the Portland area. The contaminated meals were sold in Albertsons and Clackamas Safeway stores.

Unfortunately this is not the only area that Lean Cuisine is getting a less than satisfactory rating. On a great site called  Calorie Count you will discover that all though the meals are classified as "Lean" they might make your waist line the exact opposite.  The site gives a nutritional break down for each of their meals making you think twice before heating the frozen food isle.

Consumers with concerns regarding this recall should contact Nestle Consumer Services Center at (800) 993-8625 or call the company's dedicated recall line at (800) 227-6188.
