Many women suffer from cellulite including celebrities! So what is cellulite? It’s the dimpled appearance of skin caused by the protrusion of subcutaneous and (the fatty layer under the skin ) adipose tissue (stores fat which cushions and insulates the body). This unsightly problem is extremely difficult to remove but there are some ways the appearance of cellulite can be altered and ways to prevent it from spreading to other parts of your body.
There a few workouts that have shown to help improve the appearance of cellulite. One way is by building muscle, (I told you muscle is our friend check out my first article Build Muscle Now to learn why) for each pound of muscle we build we burn 50 extra calories a day. Cardiovascular routines also help blast away those unattractive dimples. Exercises such as kick boxing, jogging, swimming and walking help detoxify the body aiding in the process of depleting waste which contributes to the cellulite in our bodies. Anaerobic workouts help our bodies metabolize the excess fat that gets stuck in a localized area causing the appearance of cellulite. Anaerobic routines usually concentrate on areas where cellulite is commonly found. This helps to convert fat into actual muscle tissue smoothing out the appearance of the cellulite.
Did you know that smoking contributes to cellulite growth? Kicking this nasty habit will be a smart move all around! Late nights and early mornings might be the cause of excessive alcohol and coffee consumption. These two beverages have been known produce fat building cells making you more susceptible to weight gain and cellulite.
Drink your H2O, by drinking water you’re helping to cleanse your body of toxins and eliminating cellulite as well. It’s also suggested to increase your fiber and fruit consumption. Both fiber and fruit speed up your metabolism and help zap those bothersome dimples.
You won’t see results over night but with a serious commitment to a healthy diet and exercise regime you will be on your way to a cellulite free body.
