In order to avoid boredom it’s important to spice up your work out often. One way to do that is by incorporating Zumba Fitness into your workout.
Zumba is a fitness program founded by a Miami-based dancer and choreographer Alberto ‘Beto’ Perez. This Latin inspired workout combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise creating an aerobic routine. Zumba is derived from the Colombian word which means move fast and have fun!
It’s a great way to shed some pounds and pick up some new dance moves at the same time. This aerobic craze currently has over 9,000 instructors worldwide.
“We utilize the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. It’s a way of mixing body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps,” says creator Beto Perez.
Zumba is pretty basic and easy to learn, international Latin moves such as Salsa and Meringue are incorporated. An array of movement variations are added to provide a cardiovascular workout. Start shaking those hips!
