  • The three-day charity fundraising event, Ribfest starts today.  Among the wide variety of activities available is a performance by Morningwood at 7:00 p.m. and Jet at 8:30 p.m.  Also performing throughout the day are Hamlin and L.A., Urban Gypsies, The Ben Bryan Band, and Radio Crime.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, per day.  Events take place at Vinoy Park, in St. Petersburg.  For more information about the event, which benefits local, youth-related causes, visit http://www.ribfest.org/
  • Pop-punk act Say Anything will perform along with Eisley, Moneen, and Miniature Tigers.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $17 in advance, and $20 at the door.

  • Skipper's Smokehouse will host Roots "n" Rhythm #5, featuring performances by Knock Down Drag Out, Midnight Bowlers League and Hindu Cowboys.  The show starts at 8:00 p.m., and cover charge is $10.
