The good folks over at Mazda were kind enough to send over a 2010 full-line media kit, so I decided to take this opportunity to look at Mazda's 2010 model lineup.
For starters, why not look at the pulse quickening Mazdaspeed3.
The main thrust of this article is the slideshow below, but I do have a few thoughts to share.
This sporty runabout tops the Mazda3 line in terms of both price and performance. With delivery factored in, the Mazdaspeed3 starts $23,945. which is not exactly pocket change. Reviews from Car & Driver, Automobile and Autoblog were all quite favorable of the 263hp, turbocharged rocket. You will have to decide for yourself if the scoops, skirts and wings are your style. Also on the "things to consider" list would include items such as torque steer, some issues with shifter action, dark charcoal color cabin only one available and no moonroof or heated seats.
Overall, I have never met a Mazda3 that I did not like to drive, be it a base model or a hard charging turbo charged edition. My time in the 2010 models has been limited, so I cannot offer any official judgment. However, based on published reviews and my discussions with 2010 owners, it appears that Mazda has done a fine job of improving its product.
