You look out the window and see snow blanketing the ground. Before the kids start getting too excited, you need to know if it is a snow day or if schools are open.

To find out about Maryland school closings and delays, you can head to the WBAL tv website or tune in to WBAL at channel 11 on your television.

Baltimore City schools also use the school website and other television and radio stations in the area.

Baltimore County schools also use the school website, School's Out and Comcast cable channel 73 to notify parents of closings.

Harford County schools use the school website, the Alert Now call system and channel 2, 11, 13 and 45 to announce school closings and delays.
