Summertime.  It can be such a fun an exciting time.  Games, TV time, water sports and more.  But then it comes.  " Mom, I'm bored." Now what?  Well, looks like it is time for some educational games.

Start with Simon Says. Believe it or not, Simon can say quite a few educational things and still be fun.  He can yell, "Make a circle with your arms." He can tell people to take five steps minus one or he can tell them to hop three times plus two.

Mother May I can also be a great learning game. "Name five words in the -at family and then take three giant steps."

Can't figure out how a favorite game can be educational? Add a new rule. For example, if you are practicing numbers, you could say that anyone who doesn't manage to hold still during freeze tag has to run and move a certain number of ice cubes from one ice chest to another before getting back in the game. If you are practicing reading, the person who is out has to read a page from an easy reader while the rest of the gang tries not to move.
