
For those who are job hunting or just want to be able to keep up with technology, good computer skills are essential. When budgets are tight, coming up with several hundred dollars to take classes on computer basics can be downright impossible. While they may not be the semester length, intensive classes that colleges in the area offer, there are many excellent free classes on computer basics for Marylanders.
The Cecil County Library system offers free classes that introduce people to computer basics, such as using a mouse, and more advanced skills, like using Word or updating resumes. One on one computer tutoring sessions are also available by appointment.
The Enoch Pratt Free Library system has free computer classes for children and adults. Summer computer camp is available for Pre-K through 10th grade. Classes for adults include creating resumes, using Word, using PowerPoint and more.
The Harford County Library system offers computer basics classes and one on one training sessions for new computer users.
