The American Heroes Challenge is a charitable organization created to pay tribute to members of the military, law enforcement and first responders. The goal is to provide a long-term ongoing charitable vehicle dedicated to funding projects that benefit and honor those who give so selflessly to making our country and communities a safer place.
The American Heroes Challenge, coming in the fall, is a two-day multi-stage firearms and tactics competition designed to test the technical, tactical, and physical capabilities of our nation's armed forces and first responders from all over the country. Twenty teams of four consisting of military, law enforcement, and security professionals will use innovative problem solving methods, teamwork, and their special skill sets to complete tasks in scenarios designed to push the limits of their abilities and determine which team is the best of the best.
The competition is open to the public. Four stages of the competition will be held at Desert Sportsman Rifle & Pistol Club and two stages at American Shooters on Arville and Spring Mountain. General admission tickets are $20. For more information, please visit americanheroeschallenge.com.
As its debut project, The American Heroes Challenge is committed to raising at least $1 million for the construction of a world-class Veterans Memorial in Las Vegas. To assist in making the Veterans Memorial a reality, Mayor Oscar Goodman and City Council have graciously donated Huntridge Circle Park to be the home of the Las Vegas Veterans Memorial. The Veterans Memorial project, funded by the American Heroes Challenge, is just the first of many efforts designed to raise charitable contributions to benefit these brave men and women.
