Houston’s first food bank for animals needs your help. The Rescue Bank is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports animal rescue and rehabilitation. Their goal is to increase visibility to small rescue groups, provide access to much needed supplies, and raise standards of care, but they can’t do it alone, they need your help.

Similar to a human food bank, the Houston Rescue Bank is a collection and redistribution point for surplus donations, equipment and pet supplies.

Here’s a sampling of what the Houston Rescue Bank needs from you:

• Volunteers
• Financial Donations
• Foster Homes
• Dry and Canned Food for Dogs and Cats (Puppies and Kittens)
• Towels
• Bedding
• Rugs
• Pet Shampoo
• Cleaning Supplies
• Kitty Litter
• Flea and Tick Medication
• Metal Food Bowls
• Chain Link Fencing
• Collapsible Crates and Puppy Pens
• Gas/Petrol Cards
• Office Supplies

*Please note: The Rescue Bank is an exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS code.
