Dogs are giving four paws up to the Grateful Dog Bakery for its fourth annual Woofstock, a huge Cleveland pet rescue adoption event and fundraiser being held Saturday and Sunday, July 25th and 26th from noon to 4 p.m. Held at the North Ridgeville location at 31966 Center Ridge Road, Woofstock promises tons of fun for people and pooches alike, all for a free admission.

Complete with a skinny dipping pool for dogs, pet caricatures, face-painting, and paw prints in stone for $5, other Woofstock features/events include:

  • Chinese raffles
  • Free goodie bags for every in-store purchase
  • Agility course for $2 per dog
  • Weiner races at 1:00 p.m. ($2 entry fee)
  • Contests at 2 p.m. including “Grooviest Dog,” “American I-Dog” (best singer/dancer), owner/dog lookalike, Howling at the Moon contest, pie and hot dog eating contest, best trick, smallest, largest, and prettiest/most handsome
  • Doggie Massage with Pet Kneads
  • Live DJ (Sunday)
  • Famed animal communicator, Doris Straka

Prizes for the Chinese Raffle include Indians tickets (good seats!), Cleveland Zoo tickets, Grateful Dog Bakery gift card, Designer Doggies grooming gift certificate, Lake Erie Crushers tickets, a gift basket from Merrick Pet Food, spa/beach basket, and tons more!

Pets from S.A.F.E. (Safety for Animals and Families in Emergencies), Ohio Pug Rescue, Canine Advocates and many other rescues will be featured on both days, all adoptable. Pets from Love-A-Stray Animal Rescue, Middleburg Heights Animal Foundation and Golden Retrievers in Need will be at the event on Saturday only. Pets from Fido’s Companion will be at the event on Sunday only.

Proceeds from Woofstock will be divided among Love-A-Stray Animal Rescue, S.A.F.E., Middleburg Heights Animal Foundation and Fido’s Companion. For more information, and to see parking prices and other location details, click here.
