Animal Fair Magazine's Paws For Style 10th Anniversary benefiting the Humane Society of New York, will be held on July 27, 2009 at the M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City.

This one-of-a-kind event unites the fashion community, celebrities, and “coiffed canines in couture” in support of the animal rescue community. Heralded as “…the signature soiree for all fashion mavericks that adorn and adore animals,” it is surely an event not to be missed.

Wendy Diamond, Animal Fair's chief pet officer and creator of "Paws for Style", said on Animal Fair’s website that the event was created as a way to raise money and awareness for animal rescue.

"We don't promote dogs dress up every day and be toted around as accessories,” says Diamond, “but we do, on occasion, dress up dogs for charity!"

Hosted by Diamond, her Maltese, Lucky, along with Valerie Diker, Emily Ford and Frances Hayward along with their beloved animals, the event presents celebrities in clothes by famous designers – with matching outfits for their four-legged companions. All dog and celebrity outfits from the evenings fashion show are then auctioned off on EBay with the proceeds going to the Humane Society.

Some of the outstanding designers confirmed for this year's event are Oscar De La Renta, Ungaro, Tibi, Roberto Cavalli, Alice and Olivia, Keith Lissner (on Bravo now), Nanette Lepore, John Varvatos, Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci, Adam Lippes and many others.
