Even chimpanzees have to eat their Sunday lunch.
30 chimps got out of their enclosure at Chester Zoo, England, and headed over to the keeper's area to find their own food. They were merrily eating in the keeper's kitchen, so the zoo had to be evacuated, for everyone's safety.
By 4.00 p.m. they were all rounded up and back in their secured area. They were full and content, and you can be sure they enjoyed their outing.
Chester Zoo, which is in Cheshire, England, is in 110 acres and normally busy on a Sunday afternoon, in the English summertime. There was no harm done, and the public were allowed back inside, to finish their visit.
