Checking out my Yahoo homepage, a few minutes ago, I was amazed at the story about the guys using counterfeit $20 bills, to buy Girl Scout Cookies. Who in their right mind would scam the Girl Scouts? They paid for the cookies with counterfeit $20 bills. Troop 40411, in Burlington, Washington, were outside a Safeway store, when the scam was realized. A Rite Aid employee, was also given a counterfeit $20 bill. He managed to get the license plate number of their vehicle. Police are now holding 3 out of the 4 suspects. The Girl Scouts are now down $100, because of the fraudulent way, of these scam artists. However, people passing the supermarkets are asking why the $20 bills are being checked, with a special pen. When they hear the story, some donate money to the troop. I am sure with all the Moms and Dads out there, they will make up the $100, and possibly more. We all love Girl Scout cookies, and they are a huge fundraiser for them, so be sure to buy lots from your local troop. Source: Video on Fox News Channel.
