Whenever you look over your shoulder, there is another holiday around the corner, and where does the money come from, to find those gifts.
I have been checking out advertisements, to see what value for money chocolates, you can purchase, for very little money.
Walgreen's Drugstore
With the coupon from their Sunday pullout. you can buy a 11.5 or 12 ounce Russell Stover box of Chocolates, regular price $8.99 for just $3.99
Hershey's Valentine Kisses 8 to 9.31 ounce for just $1.89. (better price than C.V.S.)
Ferrero 4.2 ounce, or Ghiradelli Squares at just 2 for $6.
M & M's Premiums are 2 for $6 with an instant coupon, but if you cut out the $1 coupon in the Sunday paper it will bring the cost down to, 2 for $5.
There are also lots of Valentine candies for children starting at just 39 cents for Sweethearts Conversation Hearts, and Russell Stover Candy Heart.
These are good through Sat. 2/7/09.
Dollar General
They have a good selection of assorted chocolates at just $1. However the boxes are only 1 - 1.8 ounces in size.
C.V.S.
From the Sunday pullout.
Ferrero Rocher, Ghiradelli Squares, Lindt Truffles at 2 for $5. (better price than Walgreen's)
Russell Stover 18 ounce box of chocolates $12.99. If you buy now, through Saturday, and they are buy one get one free.
Hershey's Valentine Kisses 2 for $5.
I checked out Super Wal-Mart Online, but they do not give out prices, as they may vary from store to store. I can tell you that my husband's Russell Stover sugar free chocolates are $1.64 a packet, compared with anything from $1.99 to $2.50 at the other stores. Also the Russell Stover boxed sugar free chocolates normally retail for $7.96 and our local Super Wal-Mart have them for $4.44.
More specials offers to come before Valentine's day, which is my birthday too.
