Mac and cheese, here is another taste test

 Recently, on the Yahoo front page, was their featured food article, "'The New Mac & Cheese Winner". Writer, Sarah Fuss had got together with five panelists, and done a taste test on Mac & Cheese. This is the outcome:

First place - Pasta Roni Shells and White Cheddar
Second place - Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Original Flavor
Third place -Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Premium Thick ‘n Creamy
Joint fourth - Kraft Velveeta Shells & Cheese Original
and -Back to Nature Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
Fifth place - Annie's Shells & Real Aged Cheddar
Sixth place -Generic Store-Brand Macaroni & Cheese

The reason for giving Pasta Roni Shells and White Cheddar, first place was, that it tasted more like fettuccine Alfredo. They agreed that it was really thick and creamy, tasted more like real cheese, also tasted good, and was filling. It was preferred over Kraft. However, once it has cooled down it didn't taste as good.

So if you want to impress your friends with a quick meal, this will take the guess work out of it, for you.  I personally don't like mac and cheese, but love homemade cauliflower cheese.  Recipe to come.
