Veterans and active duty military eat free on Veterans Day.

In recognition of devoted service, we gratefully invite all veterans and active duty military to enjoy a free signature entree* on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009.
Please help us spread the word by forwarding this email to friends and family and inviting the veterans and active duty military men and women in your life to eat free with us on Veterans Day.
This is the email I received from Applebee's. Even though my husband was in the Royal Air Force for 22 years, so is retired military, he does not qualify for any veteran benefits in this county. However, I am still very proud of him.
*Available during business hours on November 11, 2009 at participating Applebee's® only. Dine-in from limited menu only. Beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service. Visit www.applebees.com for list of acceptable proof.
