Dr. Sandford Siegal's cookie diet was on the television the other day. I caught a glimpse of it and then started the program again, so that I could see the entire section on this diet.
You eat 6 cookies during the day, which equates to 500 calories and then have a light dinner, of a further 500 calories. With a total of only 1,000 calories a day you can see why you would lose weight.
It is recommend that the minimum calorie intake should be 1,200 calories, so whether you eat cookies or any other food items that total 500 calories, and the evening meal you would lose weight.
I know that on the website it states that this has been around for 33 years, and people do lose weight on it. Thinking about this, wouldn't you get tired of the cookies after a week, or a month?
In the segment, on television, they said that ultimately you will fail on this diet, but for a quick fix, it would work.
From the website:
"Premium Multiple Vitamin & Minerals supplement. Flavors: Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate, Blueberry, Banana and Coconut."
These cost $59 for a weeks supply and shipping is free, if you order a 4 week supply, in the U.S.
