A couple of days ago we stopped at one of our favorite restaurants, Brew City Grill. We have probably eaten there 100 times in the past 5 years, since John has owned it.
You can't miss this place as it is located in an out parcel of the K-Mart parking lot, on U.S. 19. They even have an eye stopping bright yellow Ford Coupe in front of it.
We headed in because it was lunchtime, and we wanted to check out their 'lunch special', on the board. It was a half rack of baby back ribs for just $6.99. This included coleslaw and French fries. We both ordered it, because it doesn't matter what you eat, it is good.
We chatted to John while our food was cooking, and commented on how quiet the restaurant was. We knew the answer to be the economy, but were pleased to find out that they still have there head above water, and that they have lots going on in the next couple of weeks. Party goers, this could be the place for you.
Our ribs were as tender as could be, and the French fries were the crispy seasoned ones. I knew that they are expensive to buy in, but well worth the extra money. I rarely eat fries but couldn't resist them.
John told us that people come for miles to try some of his dishes, which included the Mediterranean Basa @ $9.99. This dish is just amazing, and when I read the ingredients I wondered how it would taste. One word. Amazing. It consists of Basa fillets, that are lightly seasoned, and served over a bed of rice, with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, black olives, and feta cheese. It is the Greek dressing that really makes this dish. Len hates white rice, and isn't a lover of Greek food, but I couldn't believe how much he was enjoying it. This is a winning dish and unique to Brew City Grill.
Another one of their food to die for, is the Sheboygan Double Brat. There are two four ounce Johnsonville brats, served on a Kaiser roll, with all the trimmings, for just $7.99. They have a single 1/3 pound brat, on a Vienna loaf, for $5.99. The reason these are special is because they are cooked in beer butter with onions.
We have several British restaurants in the area, but when it comes to Fish & Chips, we go to Brew City. They give you 2 really large pieces of beer battered fish, coleslaw, and fries for $8.99. The fish tastes better than the British places, and you can't beat the value for money. They provide malt vinegar otherwise they wouldn't get my business.
Brew City Grill is a sports bar and restaurant. They have so much going on in the bar, restaurant, as well as the outdoor patio area, where smokers are welcome.
