Great food will be served at the Holiday Festival, and Children's Art Festival, on Saturday 6th December. It all takes place around Orange Lake and Sims Park. To finish the day there will be the 8th Annual River lights Boat Parade.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12th, 13th, and 14th December, downtown Sims Park has an Art Gallery, strolling musicians, horse and carriage rides, hay rides pulled by tractor, and outdoor dining. The kids can have their photographs taken with Santa and Mrs Claus. There is also a Carnival and Midway in Sims park. Check out the river boat tours on Miss Daisy, and there are canoe and kayaks to rent. As with all holidays, and festivals, there will be plenty of different kinds of food to try. On the Saturday there is live music. Saturday evening at 7.00 p.m. will be the start of the Downtown New Port Richey Holiday Street Parade. The Festivities continue on Sunday, and if you wish you can eat breakfast with Santa, and his lovely lady, Mrs Claus.

The celebrations finish on Saturday, December 20th, with a 6.00 p.m. viewing of The Nutcracker movie at Sims Park. You need to provide your own chair, and possibly a blanket, as the weather is cooler than usual this year.

So for fun, entertainment, and lots of different kinds of food to try, head to downtown New Port Richey, for all these treats they have in store.

The information provided is from the City of New Port Richey's Newsletter.

If you are still hungry then why not eat at Pam's Country Restaurant who make great meals from scratch.  If it is Cuban food you are craving then try Juan's Black Bean Cafe.
