Illinois is unveiling its 2008-2009 hoops team to over 60,000 fans at Memorial Stadium Saturday. The event, dubbed "The World's Biggest Basketball Practice," is happening one week earlier than the official start day of the college basketball season. The Illini got approval from the NCAA to use their allotment of practice time for the event.

The WBBP will happen immediately after the Illini-Minnesota football game on a portable court set up at the south end of the stadium. The event could turn into a huge recruiting advantage for the Illini, and their rivals are not too happy about it.
