While you are in Beantown, here are some 4th of July options - dining, events and fireworks!  Consider these if you're in town:

1) In the Mandarin Oriental Boston hotel: Asana’s 4th of July lunch menu.  This is a great option to celebrate in luxury and not break the bank while you are visiting.  Two and three course lunch menu makes a festive family outing.  Menu includes Asian BBQ and special ice-cream delights.
776 Boylston Street
Prices: at $19-23 per person   /  Reservations (617) 535 8800.

2) Top of the Hub's Independence Day Celebration 2009.  Located on the top of the Prudential building, this is a reservation required event, but completely worth it if you're in town and want to see a great fireworks show.  At $200 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity), the event begins at 7pm with passed hors d'oeuvres followed by a five course special dinner, and then the fireworks at 10:30pm.  Reservations: 617-536-1775

3) The Liberty Hotel features its 4th of July Dress Rehearsal package, which includes an overnight stay, breakfast for two in CLINK, and two tickets to the dress rehearsal to the BOSTON POPS! 4th of July Spectacular this Friday (everything but the fireworks).  The unique luxury hotel is a renovated jail, and located on the banks of The Charles River.  Reservations: 866-507-5245 (JAIL)

4)  Try a 4th of July cruise.  A great option for those who enjoy Boston from the water is at Odyssey.  Featuring cruises for brunch, lunch, the highlight is the 4th of July Fireworks Dinner Cruise.  Reserve a private table by calling 866-307-2469

5) And of course there is the Boston Harborfest.  A traditional six-day Boston event to honor the 4th of July, the Harborfest is an interesting experience for any traveler to the city.  The event kicks off with an opening ceremony and ending with the famous Chowderfest on the 5th. For more information and details about the event call 617-227-1528  (photo credited).

Stay safe and have a Happy 4th!
